We live in a world filled with many ‘ologies,’ psychology, biology, neurology, physiology, and many others. Chances are you’ve yet to hear of squatology. In this course, Gary Gray explores this conceptual element of human function. Whether we sit down, walk, run, or lift, the process of squatting in its many forms is the foundation upon which much of the rest of human function is built. Gary will teach the importance of proper analysis, for without it, rehabilitation would be unsuccessful. Our functional understanding of the body would be incomplete without an in-depth study of this basic, yet often over looked function. Join us as we dive into the realm of squatology!
By the end of this online course you will be able to do the following: (1) Understand what a squat is, and what drives a squat. (2) Appreciate the tri-plane biomechanics of squatting. (3) Experience tweaking in and tweaking out. (4) Explode the myths of squatting. (5) Analyze function through the components of squatting. (6) Build upon our analysis of squatting, to reveal the next steps of rehabilitation. (7) Rehabilitate at the thresholds of function. (8) Utilize position tweaks to facilitate various forms of squatting. (9) Transform our analysis of tri-plane squat loading into effective production of function. (10) Take advantage of research on squatting to enhance our understanding of function.
